LEAPS (Lottery for Education Afterschool Programs)

Obion County Schools is currently completing an application for the 2020-2021 school year to fund a LEAPs grant for extended learning. The grant will be for the students at South Fulton Elementary, Black Oak School, and Ridgemont School. The application deadline is June 18, 2020. Anyone who would like to review the application or offer suggestions should contact Nikki Netherland at 731-479-1612.

The overall goal of the Lottery for Education: Afterschool Programs(LEAPs) is to provide Tennessee students with enrichment opportunities that reinforce and complement the regular academic program.  LEAPs program goals are in alignment with the Tennessee State Department’s Best for All strategic plan specifically supporting the whole child by providing academic and non-academic supports. The LEAPS grant is funded totally with unclaimed lottery money from the Tennessee State Lottery.
