• Nurses

  • We are fortunate to have a school nurse in every school in our system.  They help keep the students in class so they can learn.  Below are the names of our school nurses and a little bit of information about them!

    Lake Road Elementary- Melinda Holdman

I have worked in the medical profession for 30+ years, 10 of which I have been a nurse.  I am a mother of 3 and have 14 wonderful grandchildren. Four of these grandchildren are in this school system. I was a foster mother for many years and loved each of those young people very much. I am Christian by faith and I am thankful to God for this job. I work for and with the best of the best! This is one of the greatest milestones in my journey!

    Black Oak Elementary-Faye Elks

Faye has been married for 43 years and has two children and four grandchildren. She has been a school nurse for a year and loves her job! She is also a big Kentucky Wildcat fan!

    South Fulton Elementary- Cindy Vincent

Cindy has been married for 27 years and has three children. She has been a school nurse for 10 years. Cindy says "It's a blessing to take care of these students and I love my job!"

    OCCHS- Andrea Anderson

    Ridgemont- Ashley McKinnis

My name is Ashley McKinnis. I live here in Union City with my husband and two wild little boys. We love to be anywhere on the water and are avid Cardinals baseball fans. I graduated from the University of Tennessee at Martin with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing, and I have been a registered nurse for 10 years. I have worked in a variety of healthcare settings, but being a school nurse is, by far, the best and most rewarding job that I have ever had. I feel very honored to have the opportunity to care for all the amazing students at Ridgemont!
