Obion County After School Programs
-
Obion County Schools offers after-school programs in all 7 schools. The primary emphasis is on academics with homework, remediation, and enrichment. Students are provided a snack at the beginning of the program and offered supper, provided by Pilgrim’s Rest Baptist Church before the program ends each day. Students have the opportunity to participate in fitness activities, science clubs, photography, STEM activities, cooking activities, ACT prep, drama clubs, computer, field trips, and other enrichment activities, as well as small group work and individual help to remediate skills. Activities vary by school, but homework at all sites is a priority. Classroom teachers work in all programs as well as teaching assistants and college students. Registration for all programs is required. Discounts are provided for families with multiple children attending. The elementary programs are licensed programs and qualify for daycare credit on income taxes. Program hours and site director contact information are listed below. Please use the navigation bar to the left to contact the individual schools for details.
