The Ready Graduate criteria includes the following four measures for graduates. To be considered a ready graduate, students must meet at least one of the following:
● Score of 21 or higher on ACT (or 1060 or higher on the SAT); or
● Complete 4 early postsecondary opportunities (EPSOs); or
● Complete 2 EPSOs and earn an industry certification; or
● Complete 2 EPSOs and earn a score of military readiness of a 31 on ASVAB AFQT.
There is still time for students to be able to qualify as a Ready Graduate. Talk to your school counselor about how to help your child become a Ready Graduate.
Mark your calendar: 8th grade students moving from middle school to high school are invited with your parents to come to 8th grade orientation to be held on Monday, April 22, 2019, at 6:00 p.m. in the library.
Attendance and Passing Grades are important. TN TEEN DRIVERS - must show proof of school attendance/progress from a current Tennessee school or a letter from the school in your previous state that confirms your attendance (no more than 15 days missed) and satisfactory progress during enrollment in that school. This letter must be signed and dated by the principal. Schools report to the State students who are not making satisfactory progress (failing 2 or more classes) and the State pulls that teen's license until they can show satisfactory progress.
Parents Take Notice - Testing Season is coming up! We will begin TCAP Tests, EOC Tests, AP Exams, Dual Enrollment College Finals, Senior Finals, and 6-11 grade Finals during April 15-May 22. It will be important to have your child to get a good night's rest and arrive at school on time during this time.
Parents/Students can pick up their Final Report Card for the 2018-2019 School Year on Tuesday, May 28, 2019 in the High School Office.
