OCS Community Support

On behalf of the faculty and staff of Obion County Schools and the Obion County Board of Education, I want to express my deepest sympathies to those who have suffered loss during the tragic events of Friday evening.  I know that my words cannot replace your loss or ease the pain that you are experiencing.  Please know that the families and communities that will be enduring the long road of recovery are in the prayers of Obion County.

Schools will be open tomorrow and operating on a normal schedule so that our students have a safe, warm and dry place to be during the day.  Those students whose bus route has been affected by the storm damage have already been contacted.  Times like this remind us that even though academics are important, basic needs must be met.  If there is any student, staff member, or family that is in need, your schools are here to help.  We have showers available for students to use during the day for those who may not have running water or electricity.  Washers and dryers are available to launder clothes.  If we do not have the resources you need, we will find them or put you in contact with someone who can help.

May God bless you and keep you during these difficult times.
